Hip Hop Connection #2 (1988)
As promised, here's issue number 2 of Hip Hop Connection from late 1988...not as solid as the first issue and somehow Salt & Pepa make the front cover again, but there's still some interesting reading material. Features include a nice article on The Artful Dodger, interviews with KRS-One, Just Ice, Overlord X, Original Concept, and The Jungle Brothers, as well as pieces on British Hip-Hop and British independent labels - which includes a rare photo of Trouble ('I Get Hype' fame). There's also a great article on Hip Hop Fashion with a guide to some of London's infamous clothing outlets including 4 Star General and Soul II Soul's old boutique. Advert wise, there's a dope Music Of Life split ad for forthcoming Hijack and Demon Boyz 12"s...

I loved this issue, respek for the post Krum. I remember studying that UK Hip Hop photo shoot for days, and the pic of 4 star, then I used to get the train from Peterborough and go shopping at 4 star, it was like a holy trip to Mecca!
Awesome share.
Thanx so much.
